NYSC Revalidation and Remobilization: Differences between  Revalidate and Remobilize – National Youth Service Corps Revalidation and Remobilization exercise comes up every batch and streams of NYSC Registration.

In this post, we  will show you how to know the differences between Remobilization and revalidation and also guide you on the steps to revalidate and remobilize for the NYSC Batch A, B, C Stream 1 and 2 Registration.

Difference between NYSC Revalidation and NYSC Remobilization

Most people tend to believe NYSC revalidation and NYSC remobilization are the same thing,We want to let you know both have different meaning and functions.

NYSC Revalidation

This happens when you were deployed to a state in Nigeria for service but due to one reason or the other you couldn’t make it to the NYSC orientation camp, In other words, you are expected to do NYSC Revalidation only if you were deployed by NYSC to a state but due to one reason or the other you couldn’t make it to the NYSC Orientation Camp.

For better understanding, we would site an example for you

Bello belongs to NYSC 2019 Batch C Stream 2. Infopadi was deployed to Kastina but refused to go for the orientation camp because of security reasons. The crisis is over and Bello is now ready for NYSC and want to join NYSC 2020 Batch A, All that Bello need to do NYSC Revalidation.

Simply, Revalidation is done to Revalidate an already validated or registered prospective corp member to a new Batch to enable him/her join the NYSC Batch or stream.

We hope this explanation is clearer.

Note that – There will be an automatic revalidation for candidates who have not served before but were deployed i.e. they have call up letter

NYSC Remobilization

This is a situation in which you were mobilized in a previous NYSC batch, went to the camp, did the normal registration in camp but did not complete the orientation exercise or left immediately after camp probably to other state.

That is where you are expected to do NYSC Remobilization because you attended the orientation camp, did the normal registration on camp, but you left the camp or did not report to the Primary Place of Assignment (PPA)

For clarification, we would site an example for you

If Bello belongs to NYSC 2020 Batch B Stream 1, and was deployed to a state in Nigeria and present at the camp but left the camp after the orientation exercise or before the orientation exercise.

Now, Bello is ready for NYSC and wants to join NYSC 2021 Batch A. What Bello is expected to do is NYSC Remobilization.

In summary, Remobilizaton is done to remobilize an already mobilized prospective corp member to a new Batch to enable him/her join the NYSC Batch or stream.

We believe you now know the category you belong to.
