WAEC Digital Certificate – How to Apply for Digital replacement of burnt, lost, damaged WAEC certificates
We wish to inform the general public that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced plans to launch a digital avenue of retrieving lost original certificates issued by its candidates from a certain year for those who have lost their originals.
The purpose of the WAEC Digital certificate app initiative is to help reduce the inconveniences people experienced after losing their certificates due to either burnt, lost or damaged.

According to him, the bearers of such lost certificates will now be able to request digital copies from wherever they are.
Head of Nigeria National Office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC),, Patrick Areghan, said: “If you lose your certificate from a particular year, you do not need to panic. Just use your phone to access our website and your digital certificate will be there.”
Areghan said the digital certificate was one of many initiatives WAEC Nigeria introduced for improved operations of the Council in the last 70 years.
The HNO also spoke on digital examination centre locator; digitalising access to WAEC statistics, among others.
“Any service you want is available on our portal. With our centre locator, you can find any examination centre. WAEC has gone digital in all its operations,” he said.
How to Download WAEC Digital Certificate App
WAEC is about to launch a digital avenue for retrieving lost original certificates issued to its candidates. At the moment, WAEC Digital Certificate App or web portal has not been fully activated. We will update this post immediately the digital certificate is launched on 20th of October, 2022.
